Stirling Castle and esplanade set for closure as city hosts cycling world championship

Stirling Stirling Castle

Stirling Castle will be closed for three days next month due to the UCI Cycling World Championships.

Historic Scotland have contacted members to inform them of the closure on Wednesday, August 9 to Friday, August 11.

The roads around Stirling are set to host the time trial events between August 9 and August 11, with the world’s top pedallers set to take part on a route covering 48 kilometres of district roads.
