Sting’s 1980s Hampstead Home Is a Study in Lived-In Design – It’s the Most Imperfect Way to Live in 2026

In 1982, Sting was at the height of his success with The Police. However, as the band continued its ascent to global recognition, Gordon Sumner's home told a notably more relaxed story.

Located on Frognal in Hampstead, North London, Sting's 18th-century Georgian home boasted eclectic interiors that reflected its rich history. The property, originally built as a public house, had served as the residence of the Russian prima ballerina Tamara Karsavina before Sting purchased it in June 1980.
