Still no Shaun Marsh for WA in the Shield

Western Australia have won the toss and elected to bowl in their top-of-the-table Sheffield Shield match against Queensland at the WACA Ground.

The Warriors will again be without veteran Shaun Marsh, whose comeback from a knee injury has been further delayed due to a calf tear.

Paceman Joel Paris has been named after overcoming a recent hip injury.

WA batting allrounder D'Arcy Short was dropped despite scoring 87 and 39no in the drawn Shield clash with Victoria.

Rising star Sam Fanning comes into the side as his replacement.

Ladder leaders Queensland have a talent-laden top order featuring Matthew Renshaw, Joe Burns, Marnus Labuschagne, and Usman Khawaja.
