Steven Staggard sentenced to life after fatally stabbing mother Roselyn and then trying to blame father

A 46-year-old Perth man who fatally stabbed his mother and then tried to suggest either his father was responsible, or she had harmed herself, has been sentenced to life with a 20-year minimum.

In July 2020, Steven Paul Staggard attacked his 67-year-old mother, Roselyn, with a knife, while she was in her bedroom at the family's Caversham home.
