Steven Gerrard's much-discussed decision to 'move up' in his managerial career by leaving Rangers in favour of Aston Villa isn't looking too wise right about now.
On Wednesday night, the Glaswegian giants sealed their return to the group stages of the Champions League for the first time since 2010.
Meanwhile, Gerrard is coming under increasing scrutiny from Villa supporters having overseen a poor end to last season as well as a patchy start to this campaign which has included losses to Crystal Palace and newly-promoted Bournemouth.

Aside from the performances on the pitch not matching pre-season optimism having splurged more than most on new signings, Gerrard has also entrenched himself into a very public falling out with longtime captain Tyrone Mings.
The English centre-back has had the armband taken off him with Gerrard letting it be known he needed to 'look me in the eye and show that he's ready to play.'
The abrasive form of man-management irked many Villains including club legend Paul McGrath.
As luck (or misfortune) would have it, Mings has been launched back into the starting XI since the season opener after big-money signing Diego Carlos ruptured his Achilles.
The generally grim mood music around Villa Park has Gerrard only behind his former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers and Frank Lampard in the odds to be the first managerial casualty of the Premier League season.
Speaking of odds, Irish bookmaker Paddy Power delighted in Rangers and Gerrard's contrasting fortunes in the below social media posts.
While the 42-year-old did lead The Gers to their first SPL title in a decade, thereby halting Celtic's hopes of an historic 10-in-a-row, how much credit he deserves for that achievement is still hotly debated.
The Hoops really did have a season from hell that year as they completely succumbed under the weight of history while Gerrard's assistant at the time Michael Beale was viewed by many as the real architect behind their rise back to the summit of Scottish football.
He has since left Gerrard's staff to take the top job at Queens Park Rangers.
Time will tell over the next few months if Gerrard can prove it was the right step in his managerial career to leave behind the Scottish side for a mid-table Premier League outfit.
