Steven Gerrard is plotting a Rangers reunion with Ryan Kent at Al-Ettifaq, according to a report.
It's claimed the former Ibrox duo could be reunited in the Saudi League during the January window.
Kent left Rangers on a free transfer in the summer and signed with Turkish giants Fenerbahce but has struggled for significant game time.
The winger has featured just 15 times so far this term with many of his outings coming from the bench.
And he hasn't played a minute in the league for Fenerbahce since November 11. That has sparked suggestions the forward player could exit the club this month.
Sports broadcaster Ben Jacobs has reported Gerrard is keen on a move for Kent this month.
It's reported the manager held a three-hour recruitment meeting with Al-Ettifaq chiefs on Monday and Kent was one of two players identified for the January window.
The other player reportedly on the club's radar is Al-Hilal's Abdulellah Al-Malki.
Jacobs reported on X, formerly Twitter: "Two Al-Ettifaq targets for this window are Fenerbahçe's Ryan Kent and Al-Hilal's Abdulellah Al-Malki.
"Steven Gerrard was part of a three-hour recruitment meeting on Monday.
"Liverpool's Joel Matip and Villa's Bertrand Traoré also discussed for summer 2024."
Hull City had been credited with a serious interest in Kent - with a £2m offer on the table.
However, the move appears to have gone no further leaving the possibility of a Saudi switch for Kent.
Hull boss Liam Rosenior had previously remained coy over a possible move for Kent.
He had said: "For me I don’t comment on other players at other clubs.
"I focus on the work we do here. I focus on the bodies I have in the squad.
"We have a plan and we know what we want. I’ve never done it and I won’t start now – speaking about individual players at other clubs.”
