The Polish Football Association are said to have "started talks" with former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard over becoming the new manager of the Poland national side.
After exiting the World Cup in Qatar at the last-16 stage with a 3-1 loss against France, Poland decided not to renew the contract of Czeslaw Michniewicz.
Gerrard has been without a job since being relieved of his duties at Aston Villa in October following a poor start to the Premier League which saw fans turn against him at Villa Park.
