Steve Morison has urged Cardiff City fans to get excited about the transfer window as he looks ahead to building his own Bluebirds squad for next season.
Cardiff capped off their season with a 1-0 win over Derby County on Saturday thanks to Jordan Hugill's goal at Pride Park. It offered some positivity following an underwhelming campaign, but Morison does not want that negativity from the season to spill over into the summer.
He is confident and excited about the off-season and has urged fans to share his optimism about the changes which are afoot at Cardiff City this summer.

"The hard work doesn't start now, it started ages ago," he said of transfers. "It started in the January transfer window. It was a case of making sure I was in charge beyond that so I could implement the work I put in place.
"All being well, the first signing we make, we first started doing reports on in February. I don't just put a load of names in a machine and a load of names come out, there is a process to it.
"There is stuff we'd like to do, but that is personnel-driven and now I've got the opportunity to bring the personnel in so I don't have to sit here and say, 'I can't do that because we haven't got the personnel'.
"I am buzzing for it. I can't wait for it. I just wish everyone was as buzzing and happy as me and my staff are.
"I am really happy and really positive about everything that's going on and my message to the fans is: Be as excited as we are, because it will be a good time."
Cardiff's summer window will have to replicate the success of the January window, but on a far bigger scale.
What is encouraging, of course, is just how much of an impact the signings which were made in January have had and that was evident on the final day of the season.
Hugill signed off with a goal and Cody Drameh put in a typically excellent display, one which prompted the travelling fans to start a new chant of "Cody Drameh, we want you to stay!"
"Trust me, I have asked him to stay!" Morison laughed when asked about the chant.

Whether he does, or not, remains to be seen, but few would begrudge him returning to Leeds United or even sealing a loan move to a club higher up in the Championship - or even the Premier League.
And that was Morison's overriding thoughts on the youngster. "Cody, I love the kid," he added. "He said to me as we were walking off, 'Thanks for keeping your word'. I was like, 'I said you'd play, where you would play and how you would play'. He said ever since the presentation he knew he wanted to be a part of it.
"I said to him, 'Go on now and reach where you need to reach, because you're on the way now'. I am really, really pleased for him."
Morison said Will Vaulks and Tommy Doyle were both omitted after taking knocks in training during the week.
