Here is your Tottenham Hotspur morning digest on Thursday, February 3.
Hitchen resigns
Tottenham director of technical performance Steve Hitchen has resigned as the club continues its restructuring under new managing director of football Fabio Paratici.
Paratici arrived from Juventus in the summer and the club has since moved in a different direction, with he and Antonio Conte now very much the primary decision-makers.
Hitchen returned to Spurs in February 2017 after his appointment as chief scout, but struggled to consistently recruit high-impact players.
Perhaps his biggest two disappointments were Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso, both of whom departed on loan on transfer deadline day, just two days before Hitchen's exit.
Hitchen did sign Lucas Moura, and former manager Mauricio Pochettino even singled Hitchen out for praise for acquiring the Brazilian.

Alli gives Everton verdict
Dele Alli has given his verdict on what he hopes to achieve at Everton following his deadline day transfer from Tottenham.
Ali endured a difficult period in north London, failing to deliver on his potential when he flourished under Mauricio Pochettino after his arrival from MK Dons, and is now hoping new horizons can help him rediscover his best form.
"It is a perfect match and I can’t wait to get going," he told evertontv. "Speaking to the owners and manager and some of the players… we are heading in the same direction, we want to look forward, and that is how I am as a person.
"I don’t ever think anything is enough. You want to achieve as much as you can, score as many goals and get as many wins as you can. To keep building and heading in the right direction.
"It’s what the Club wants and what I want, too."

Ndombele provides reasons for Lyon loan
Tanguy Ndombele has admitted to enduring a difficult time at Tottenham and said a return to familiar surroundings was a major plus in his return to Lyon on loan.
The French midfielder was Spurs' record signing, moving for £63 million in July from Lyon. He now returns to the Ligue 1 club on a six-month loan with a reported £45 million option to buy clause.
On his reasons for accepting the loan, Ndombele told RMC Sport: "I didn't hesitate for long. The discussions were quick. I'm happy to be back.
"I've known five coaches in two and a half years. It's not their fault but I had a little trouble at Tottenham. I wanted something else. Lyon, as I know, is better for adaptation."
