Steve Harmison makes X-rated West Indies vs England commentary gaffe two nights in a row

It wasn't only England's bowlers left red-faced after the weekend following their 3-2 T20 series defeat by the West Indies.

Missing captain Eoin Morgan, the tourists went into back-to-back games on Saturday and Sunday 2-1 down, but squared things up when a 63 knock from stand-in skipper Moeen Ali led them to a 34-run win.

However, their death-bowling again caused issues the following the day, with Kieran Pollard cracking 41 off 25 balls to lead the hosts to 179-4, before England fell to 162 all out with Jason Holder taking four wickets in four balls to end matters.

But the players weren't the only ones to slip up, so to speak, with BT Sport commentator Steve Harmison making a humorous error live on air on Saturday, only to repeat the mistake 24 hours later.

Addressing co-commentator Ian Bishop, Harmison was providing analysis when he said "I think that's a bit of inexperience b*tch... Bish."

The former England fast-bowler then proceeded to awkwardly stumble through his next few words before Bishop lightened the mood by saying: "I'm gone, I'm totally gone.

"I expected a lot better from you Steve Harmison, I've been called a lot of things."

With both laughing, Bishop duly changed subject with: "Well thank goodness it's the half-way mark of the innings, it's 78-2."

Remarkably, the 43-year-old then made the same gaffe the next night, this time when working alongside Mark Butcher.

"B*tch, um Butch, ah I've done it again," said Harmison to his co-commentator.

"My head's gone."

Butcher made light of it by replying: "Butch and Bish - it's killing you isn't it?"

Harmison's two blunders were greeted with hilarity on Twitter, with @ejnewstead posting: "Within 20 mins, Harmison has referred to Rashid’s ball that spins the other way as the Google and aimed to call Ian Bishop 'Bish' but found himself at 'b*tch'. A noble effort."

@ChrisBecky20 added a few laughing emojis with the words "Steve Harmison tries to call Ian Bishop ‘Bish’ last night and says ‘b*tch’. He tries to call Mark Butcher ‘Butch’ tonight and says… b*tch."

Harmison played in 63 Test matches and 58 ODIs for England before retiring in 2013. He has since worked for Sky Sports, talkSPORT, and BT Sport as a pundit.
