Boss Steve Cooper hailed the City Ground crowd for helping to drag Nottingham Forest over the line in a dramatic 4-3 victory over Southampton.
The Reds climbed out of the bottom three and moved up to 16th as they claimed three points against their relegation rivals amid an incredible atmosphere Trentside. With three games left to play, they are three points clear of the drop zone and have their fate in their own hands.
It wasn’t easy against the Saints, though. Taiwo Awoniyi bagged a brace, Morgan Gibbs-White scored from the penalty spot and Danilo continued his red-hot streak, but Forest were hanging on at times.
