Head coach Steve Cooper expressed his gratitude for the support shown by the travelling Nottingham Forest fans at Brighton and Hove Albion.
There was a superb Reds following at the Amex Stadium, despite the long away trip on a Tuesday night. And they were incredibly vocal throughout, getting right behind the team and showing a lot of love for the manager as they kept singing from first minute until last.
They haven’t had much to cheer of late, amid a dismal run of form for Cooper’s side. But the Welshman acknowledged the supporters for playing their part in helping his team grind out a gritty 0-0 draw on the south coast.

“I thought the players deserved something from the game. And the fans certainly did, for the atmosphere they created in the stadium - that drove us on as well,” he said.
“It’s incredible, the noise they make and the support they give the team. You’d swear we’d been winning games left, right and centre. We’re just really grateful for it.
“As the game went on, we were only ever going to win the game through a breakaway and a counterattack. In the later stages, I was just thinking, just get something out of the game for the supporters, because they were all we could hear. We’re thankful for that.
“I’m not going to skip out of here because we’re really happy with a point at Brighton. It’s a good point, of course, but there’s still loads of things I know we’ve got a lot of improvements to make on. That’s what we’re aiming to do.”
The point lifted Forest off the foot of the Premier League table. They are without a win in nine league games, with Liverpool at the City Ground next up.
