Good morning Nottingham Forest fans!
Here are all the latest news from in and around the City Ground over the past 24 hours...
Harry Toffolo makes exciting Nottingham Forest admission after sealing transfer
Nottingham Forest's latest addition to Steve Cooper's squad, Harry Toffolo, claims the opportunity to play Premier League football something he simply could not turn down.
Toffolo has become the club's ninth summer arrival this summer as Steve Cooper aims to bolster his squad ahead of the club's return to the Premier League after 23 years outside of the top-flight. And more incomings are expected in the coming weeks as the Reds continue their pre-season preparations.
Left-back Toffolo will now make his bid to claim a spot in Cooper's first XI ahead of an opening day trip to Newcastle United. Speaking of his move to the City Ground, the 26-year-old, who featured in last night's 2-1 win over Hertha Berlin, said: "I'm extremely delighted to be here, to be able to join a football club with this much stature is fantastic and to have the opportunity to play in the Premier League is something I couldn't turn down.
Lewis O'Brien reveals details of Steve Cooper talks after Nottingham Forest transfer
Lewis O'Brien has followed Harry Toffolo to the City Ground from Huddersfield Town as Nottingham Forest have added summer signing number nine and 10 to Steve Cooper's squad.
Midfielder O'Brien believes that he and Reds boss Cooper share the "same vision" and the 23-year-old wants to keep fans happy after an enjoyable 2021/22 campaign last time round. Forest beat O'Brien's former club Huddersfield in the play-off final last season to announce their return to the Premier LEague after a 23-year exile from the top-flight.
And O'Brien is thrilled to have signed for Forest this summer, as he said: "I’m delighted to join Nottingham Forest at such an exciting time. Having played at The City Ground last season I’ve experienced the atmosphere and when the opportunity came about to join Forest, it was a no-brainer for me."
Huddersfield send Lewis O'Brien message after Nottingham Forest move amid transfer admission
Huddersfield Town head of football Leigh Bromby admits the Terriers have sold "one of the best" players in the Championship to Nottingham Forest.
O'Brien has become the club's 10th summer arrival as Forest prepare for their return to the Premier League after a 23-year exile from the top-flight. Harry Toffolo, also formerly of Huddersfield, joined the Reds today and both players will aim to impress Steve Cooper during pre-season.
Midfielder O'Brien joined Huddersfield as an 11-year-old and made a total of 130 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring eight goals. Speaking of the 23-year-old's exit, head of football Leigh Bromby said: "We’ve known Lewis a very long time and we’re all proud of the player, and man, he has become. He’s clearly established himself as one of the best players in the Sky Bet Championship and has earned the opportunity to play in the Premier League.
Forest dealt another injury blow ahead of Premier League season
Nottingham Forest have been dealt another injury blow ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.
Boss Steve Cooper says summer signing Omar Richards faces a spell on the sidelines, having only signed for the Reds little more than a week ago. It comes as midfielder Ryan Yates is absent with a knee problem and striker Sam Surridge is working his way back to fitness after groin surgery at the end of last term - although both are getting closer to a return
Richards has not featured for Forest in any of the friendlies since putting pen to paper on a four-year deal from Bayern Munich earlier this month.
Nottingham Forest 'exploring a deal' to sign £25m-rated striker
Nottingham Forest are reportedly "exploring a deal" for Watford star Emmanuel Dennis.
Forest's ambition ahead of their Premier League return next month is clear as Steve Cooper continues to bolster his ranks following promotion to the top flight. With 10 signings already through the door, it appears the Welsh boss will not be stopping there.
Free agent Jesse Lingard has been linked with a move to the City Ground, and now Dennis has emerged as another possibility, according to the Daily Mail. The 24-year-old made 35 outings for the Hornets last term, scoring 10 goals as they were relegated to the Championship.
Nottingham Forest can help Jesse Lingard achieve key goal as transfer 'close'
Jesse Lingard wants to represent England at the Qatar 2022 World Cup and a transfer to Nottingham Forest could help him achieve that goal.
The former Manchester United man is set to join a new club after departing Old Trafford this summer. And Forest are said to be "close" to reaching an agreement with Lingard that would see the 29-year-old join the Reds on a free transfer.
West Ham United have also made an offer to Lingard, but talkSPORT have reported that the midfielder is "leaning" towards a move to Steve Cooper's side. The Forest boss has already made 10 signings this summer, but Lingard would add a much-needed wealth of Premier League experience.
Nottingham Forest set for key decision on City Ground redevelopment project
Nottingham Forest could soon be granted planning permission for the redevelopment of the City Ground.
The Reds first announced a multi-million pound project in 2019, with a view to transform their home into a world-class venue. The club submitted updated proposals last year.
Rushcliffe Borough Council has now revealed that the plans will be considered by its planning committee next Thursday.
