If he needs to, Scotland boss Steve Clarke says he will use Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney in all three of the Tartan Army's upcoming internationals. Tierney has been called-up to the Scotland squad, who will play three Nations League fixtures in the space of six days from Wednesday, September 21.
Tierney has managed to stay free of injuries so far this campaign, but he did struggle with a couple of separate problems last season. He missed three games with an ankle injury last October before missing the campaign's final ten matches after knee surgery. As a result of that knee problem, he was omitted from Scotland's squad for their crucial World Cup qualifier against Ukraine in June.

Despite some concerns over picking up another injury, Tierney could be set to play three full games in the space of six days during his time away with his country. Scotland face Ukraine (twice) and the Republic of Ireland in the upcoming Nations League fixtures.
"I think Arsenal will trust us to treat their player properly as we do with everybody," said Clarke. "We try to treat them all correctly.
"Listen, my job is to win matches, and if I need my best players on the pitch for all three games, that's what I have to do.
"We have to use them as we see fit to get the best out of the player. Obviously, we are not going to try to injure a player or do anything that's crazy."
