Scotland are in action in Armenia but the Tartan Army haven't forgotten or forgiven the shocker in Dublin at the weekend.
In fact, the footsoldiers are as angry as ever about the capitulation in the Irish capital and it seems that all the credit banked by the players and manager over the past 18 months has been withdrawn.
John Bruce said: "In Dublin on Saturday, Steve Clarke once again looked like the Kilmarnock manager that he was - or is. Yet again, he proved that the step from managing a small Scottish league team to the international team was a step way too far. Setting up a physical team to defend for their lives on a plastic pitch every two weeks in Ayrshire may have worked for him before, but it was never going to take Scotland to the World Cup or move our game forward.
"His crass and very public parting outburst at Rugby Park of 'bye bye, Rangers' was also totally unbefitting a Scotland manager. It instantly alienated a huge section of the Scotland support, so now it's 'bye bye, Stevie'."
John Smith emailed: "Steve Clarke says the loss to the Republic of Ireland was a bit of a scratch of the head. It felt more like a kick in the goolies to the fans who spent good money to watch this dross."
Tommy Turner emailed: "Just back from Dublin which was a great trip up until 5:00pm Saturday when the ref blew his whistle to start the match. That performance and result was on a par with Kazakhstan away. Hanley, McTominay and Henry are absolute dross."
Gordon MacLeod, Edinburgh, said: "We've seen enough defeats in the past to accept that we can't win them all, but to be outfought by a team as poor as Ireland is unforgivable. If that happens again, Clarke has to go."
On to Old Firm bickering and Robert Frew, Glasgow, said: "I see Hotline has resumed its daily pearl of wisdom ‘The World According to John Bruce’. John, your team lost the league, Celtic won it.
"These things happen, it’s time to move on as it seems you are in danger of becoming embittered."
Gordon Ashley, Ayr, said: "I’d like to remind yesterday’s hilarious caller that all of Rangers high value jewels are now in the final year of their contract and will either go for a third of their value or run down their deal, while Calvin Bassey has just had a very poor game in front of any watching scouts, which isn’t ideal when your team has to sell to buy."
Ian McKendrick emailed: "Maybe Callum McGregor should stop wearing that stupid mask and he'd see the ball more. Everything passes him by in midfield."
Jimmy Murray, Edinburgh, said: "Will be interesting to see if Celtic allow Ange to bring in his own man in Harry Kewell. If not then the fans will know nothing has really changed at the club. Dom McKay was sacked because he wanted to bring the club into the 21st century. If Ange is told to persevere with hangers on Kennedy and Strachan then Celtic will go backwards."
Finally, golf fan Robert Sheridan emailed: "I was not impressed by Rory McIlroy having a personal dig at Greg Norman about the number of tour wins. He needs to remember that the reason he and others are getting the rewards they get nowadays is because of the popularity that Norman and others brought to golf during their playing careers.
"Ok you don’t agree with the LIV Tour but then if you're a struggling pro and you get the chance to make enough for yourself and family why would you not? It’s a choice that is for each individual to make."
