Steve Bruce was involved in a verbal spat with a West Bromwich Albion supporter as the Baggies’ shocking run of form continued in mid-week.
The side have endured an absolutely shocking start to the new season having only won one out of their opening 12 games of the Championship campaign. That has seen Bruce come under immense pressure at The Hawthorns with reports suggesting that the former Newcastle United and Aston Villa manager is heading towards the sack.
It seems that one West Brom fan took particular exception to Bruce’s presence at the club following their latest defeat at the hands of Preston North End.
A video has surfaced on social media showing the 61-year-old arguing with one supporter following the game next to the team coach. The fan was clearly upset with the result and claimed that West Brom was "his club" to which Bruce agreed before stating that he was a "grown man".
The ex- Manchester United defender was then asked: “Have I done something wrong? I didn’t stick my fingers up, I wasn’t swearing. I’m not swearing, there’s kids about. I’m not swearing."
He then rounded off the argument by quoting the clearly disgruntled supporter. He said: “‘Get out of our effing club,’ you were shouting.”

It of course remains to be seen whether Bruce remains in charge in the West Midlands for the Baggies’ upcoming home clash against Luton Town. When probed about his current position following the reverse against Preston, he suggested he would “understand” if he were to be moved on but remained firm in his determination to turn the current situation around.
Speaking after the game, he said: "That's for other people. I'm never going to give up, not when it's tough. If I didn't and I just sat here and said I was going to feel sorry for myself, I wouldn't be sitting here.
"I still get up in the morning, want to come to work, it still burns inside of me, especially as it is at the minute. I hope, given the time, and if not I fully understand that I haven't been able to arrest the slide which has gone on, unfortunately, for a good two-and-a-half years maybe."
Bruce has only been at The Hawthorns since February this year having been appointed as Valerian Ismael’s replacement.
He could only lead the club to a tenth-placed finish at the end of the campaign but the malaise has been much worse this season with the Baggies now sitting in the relegation zone in the Championship despite the club having been tipped for promotion back to the top-flight this term.
