Steve Bannon has warned that Democrats could launch two years of investigations, subpoenas and impeachment proceedings against senior Trump administration officials if they regain control of the US House of Representatives in November's midterm elections.

Speaking to CBS News in an interview published on Sunday, 11 October, the former White House chief strategist predicted that Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth could face impeachment.
