The stepmother of a man who has been reported missing has pleaded with him to come home. Izaak Pollard, 20, was last seen at around 11pm on Friday, April 29, on Butterley Lane, Ripley.
His stepmother, Nina Summerton, has said Izaak was last seen wearing dark jeans, black and white Nike trainers and a black hoodie. He is around six feet tall, slim and has short brown hair.
Officers are currently searching for Izaak in the Ripley area and around eight search parties have been out around the Ripley, Belper, Matlock and other Derbyshire areas that Izaak may have connections to.
Nina said: "He was last seen on Friday night at about 11pm by his mum. He came back and then he went back out in his car and then he returned we think, according to CCTV at about quarter-to-one in the morning, left the car in quite a strange place outside the house and then we presume he left on foot because it's quite a private road by the reservoir where they live and there was no other car seen on CCTV coming in or out of the area.
"So we believe he left on foot towards the reservoir and the woods. He was wearing dark jeans, some black and white Nike trainers and a black hoodie. He's about 6ft.
"We've had a number of searches, police are out searching again today. There are a number of police teams out today searching the Ripley area and some potential sightings we had yesterday.
"We don't know where those potential sightings are at the moment because police are keeping them a little bit close guard, which is understandable because they don't want everybody swamping the area I don't think. "We've arranged our own [search parties] this morning as well in addition to police ones.
Nina has said that Izaak is a shy character and that his disappearance is "really out of character." She also gave an emotional message to Izaak and to anybody else that may have had contact with him over the last few months.
She added: "We've got around eight teams of people out there at the minute searching anywhere from Ripley to Belper, Matlock, Cromford, anywhere where we think he might have any links to is currently being searched. Isaac's really quiet, he's a very quiet, shy character.
"He likes to keep himself to himself so this is really really out of character but because he's very quiet - there was no warning. Zac if you're out there and you're reading or listening to any of these messages please please just come home. There will be no questions asked, just come home, we miss you.
"And to anybody that might be out there or anybody that might have had any contact with him whatsoever in the last few months online or by phone please get in touch. It's important that if anybody's had any communication with him whatsoever that they please get in touch."
If you have any information which could help, please contact Derbyshire Constabulary immediately on 999, including reference 209 of April 30.
