Stephen Welsh is attracting transfer interest with clubs in England, Italy and France tracking the Celtic defender, according to a report.
The Scotland Under-21 star was the subject of an approach from French outfit Toulouse in the summer but that was kicked out by the Hoops while Udinese have also knocked on the door of the Scottish champions over the centre-back. Portuguese giants Porto have also been linked with a possible interest say the Scottish Daily Express.
Welsh, who missed the 1-0 win over Aberdeen on the return to Premiership action, is down the pecking order in Ange Postecoglou's first team set-up with Cameron Carter-Vickers, Carl Starfelt and Moritz Jenz all ahead of him. The Aussie boss has also secured the signing of highly-rated defender Yuki Kobayashi from the J-League to add further competition.
With the January transfer window now just weeks away, it remains to be seen whether Celtic would be open to the idea of welcoming offers next month. His future will all come down to where Postecoglou factors Welsh into his defensive ranks.
Canada World Cup star Alastair Johnston has also arrived at the club from CF Montreal while Josip Juranovic continues to be linked with some big clubs across Europe after an impressive run in Qatar as Croatia reached the semi-finals. Torino, Roma and Atletico Madrid are just some of the names linked in recent weeks.
Giorgos Giakoumakis is another who could head for the Parkhead exit after contract talks with the club stalled. He is believed to be keen to explore his options.
Celtic are already looking at potential arrivals at the top end of the park and have been looking at South Korean international Cho Che-sung.
