Rangers are mulling over a move for Nigeria international Stephen Odey, according to reports.
Outlet All Nigeria Soccer claim preliminary discussions have been held with sporting director Ross Wilson, and that Odey is seriously being considered as a potential transfer option this summer.
The former Mountain of Fire striker has put himself in the shop window on the back of his form for Danish Superliga club Randers last season.
He scored 13 goals and provided two assists in 32 appearances in all competitions and the report also claims Celtic have made contact over his potential availability.
Randers are demanding a fee of around £4m from clubs interested in Odey and recently rejected a bid of three million euros plus add-ons from an unnamed Belgian Pro League club.
The interest from Rangers is said to be firmer with Gio van Bronckhorst identifying Odey as one of the attacking targets in the event Alfredo Morelos departs Ibrox.
The Colombian international's contract is set to expire next summer and he continues to be linked with a move.
Rangers are aware he could sign a pre-contract with any of his suitors in January which would mean they would lose out on any transfer fee.
Mateo Cassierra, Erik Botheim and Cameron Archer are all other attacking options Van Bronckhorst has been linked with in this window so far.
