TV star Stephen Mulhern threatened to walk off This Morning when presenters Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield made a dig at him. Stephen is known for appearing alongside Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly on their show Saturday Night Takeaway, as well as on other ITV shows including In For A Penny.
He was on today’s (Wednesday) episode of This Morning to promote his new children’s book, which saw him reunited with good friends Holly and Phil, the Mirror reports. The two hosts laughed their way through the ‘what’s coming up headlines’ as Holly told viewers: "It's because Stephen's just sat down on the sofa. He's being naughty already and he's really trying to distract us. I'm going to give you your introduction so just zip it for a second."
She then went on to read the autocue, where his introduction had been written for her: "Now our next guest is a celebrated - it says here - TV presenter, a magician and talented comedian, did you write this?"

Stephen laughed before adding: "No but keep reading!" Phil then took over the introduction and shared: "But these days Stephen is better known as Ant and Dec's assistant..." before Stephen interjected and asked: "Who did write that? Get them to the floor now!"
As Phil continued, "When he's not running errands for Ant and Dec, he's a very successful children's author," Stephen spoke half way through to tell everyone: "Do you know what I'm leaving?," as he laughed over the comments.
Ant and Dec were unable to present the Britain's Got Talent: Ultimate Magician special earlier this year, with Stephen stepping in for them and fronting the show in their absence.
Discussing the role and his friendship with the iconic TV duo, Stephen said: "So I got a call saying 'Ant and Dec have asked, if you would stand in for them?' First of all, it's a dream come true because it's magic.
“It was lovely to get the chance to host because the magicians that are in the show, I grew up watching some of them and lots of them inspired me to get into magic. Dec text me saying: 'There's no one better to take the reins from us. You'll be brilliant. Just don't be too brilliant. Thanks so much for stepping in!' We're really, really good mates.
"But there's not many presenters that would be so welcoming for that to happen, because it's a big gig."
