Stephen Graham has issued a rare social media update after he says he was told to "get a proper job".
The Kirkby-born actor was awarded an OBE for services to drama in the New Year's Honours List. It came after Stephen was nominated for three BAFTAs in 2022 for performances in Time, Boiling Point and Help - a Channel 4 drama set in a Liverpool care home during the pandemic.
In a post on his Twitter and Instagram pages on New Year's Eve he told fans he was dedicating the honour to his late mum, who had died a few days earlier.
