Shamrock Rovers manager Stephen Bradley and his family have started a brilliant 'Shave your head' fundraising challenge in order to raise vital funds for charities Children's Health Foundation Crumlin, the Irish Cancer Society and Aoibheann's Pink Tie.
In the accompanying mission statement, mam Emma revealed son Josh was diagnosed with Acute lymphocytic leukemia last month.
She wrote: "On the 17th June 2022 our 8 year old son Josh (aka Mama's Baby Boy) was diagnosed with Acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL).

"In the space of a second of hearing the diagnoses our world fell apart, within a couple of days Josh was straight into his treatment. As a parent this is heartbreaking to watch but Josh has been a little warrior and we are so proud of him.
"The staff at St John's Ward Crumlin Children's Hospital in our eyes are real life SUPERHEROES and have been amazing along with Aoibheann's Pink Tie and the Irish Cancer Society in supporting us.
"Our fundraiser is JOSH'S SHAVE YOUR HEAD CHALLENGE. We hope people will join in on the challenge for Josh and donate to help these amazing causes.
"All our love
"Emma, Stephen, Jayden, Ella and Josh"
At the time of writing they have already raised over €8,000.
The entire Irish footballing community is rallying behind Josh with stars past and present like Robbie Keane, James McClean and Gavin Bazunu sharing the post while writing messages of encouragement to the eight-year-old.
We here at Mirror Sport would also like to express our full support of Josh and the entire Bradley family at this time.
If you are in a position to donate to the cause, you can do so here.
