Stephen Bear is under fire by the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) for an £80k giveaway he launched on Twitter - which was challenged over whether it was administered fairly or not.
The controversial reality star, 32, has faced the wrath of the ASA after furious fans accused him of setting up a hoax freebie after enticing people to sign up to his YouTube channel to win the large sum of money.
He initially tweeted about the competition on August 25 last year.
Stephen wrote: "I will be giving away $100,000 in 24 hours. To enter… 1. Say 3 nice things about me. 2. Like this post. 3. Retweet this post. 4. FOLLOW 5. hashtag “#internationalplayboy” after your comment."
However, he was later reported to the ASA by entrants, who claim it's "believed the winner to be the partner of Stephen Bear".
The ASA shared: "The complainants, who believed the winner to be the partner of Stephen Bear, challenged whether the promotion was administered fairly, and the prize was awarded to a genuine entrant, in accordance with the laws of chance."
The watchdog ruled against the star, who failed to respond to its investigation, and showed "apparent disregard for the [advertising] code".
The ASA added: "We were not provided with any information about how the promotion had been administered, how a winner had been selected, nor evidence which showed that the prize of $100,000 had been awarded."
"We told Stephen Bear to ensure that he administered his promotions fairly in future, in particular by ensuring that he selected a winner in accordance with the laws of chance from a selection pool consisting of only valid entries (meeting the requirements of the draw) and ensuring that he awarded prizes as described in his marketing communications. We referred the matter to CAP’s Compliance team."
It's not the first time Stephen has been warned by the ASA.
He was previously warned about his future conduct in June 2021, after posting three videos on his YouTube in February saying: "COMPETITION TIME !!!! DO YOU WANT TO WIN £10,000??? Here are the rules. 1. Like this video 2. Subscribe to my channel 3. Guess the correct amount of kick ups in the comment section."
However in the second and third videos, he shows an open briefcase - which supposedly had the money inside - and Stephen announcing a winner.
But he failed to respond to the ASA inquiry and the complaint was upheld that the prize had not been "administered fairly".
Stephen started dating Jessica last year, when he confirmed their romance when a video of her performing a sex act on him went viral.
