Stephanie Roche has been eliminated from Dancing With The Stars in the first dreaded dance-off of the RTE series.
Two couples who had the lowest combined vote between the judges and the public vote had to dance for a second time to keep their place in the show this evening. Tonight Suzanne Jackson and Michael Danilczuk and Stephanie and Ervinas Merfeldas each had to dance a second time, with the judges deciding to save Suzanne and Michael.
Stephanie said: "I want to thank this guy (Ervinas). I came in as a pretty raw dancer. He got me to the level I got to tonight. He’s a really great guy. Everyone here is great.”

Speaking to Stephanie, Ervinas said: "You’ve gone out and smashed each dance. I’m so proud of you."
Shane Byrne and Karen Byrne opened tonight’s show with a sparkling Jive to Land of 1000 Dances by Vinnie Jones. Judge Loraine called it a "fabulous star to the show".
Next Suzanne Jackson and Michael Danilczuk danced a graceful American Smooth to I’ve Got You Under My Skin by Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga. They scored 25 from the judges.
Stephanie and Ervinas then took to the stage after the break with a fun Samba number to Con Calma by Daddy Yankee feat. Snow. Sadly, they scored 19 from the judges and had to leave the dancefloor.
Judge Brian said: "I think first of all, compliments to Erinvas. Loaded with pure samba basics. Huge complement to you.
"It would have benefitted from more body action, but it was a pure samba. That is a real testament to you, one of your better latin dances."
2FM Presenter Carl Mullan and Emily Barker took on a Tango with a twist this week with a rope added into the choreography. Sucker by the Jonas Brothers was the music track of choice for this dance. Carl and Emily scored 24 from the judges.
Next, it was a Salsa from Panti Bliss and Denys Samson. Last week the couple scored immunity from tonight’s first dance-off as they topped the leader board during Dedicated Dance week. Tonight they danced to Stupid Love by Lady Gaga.
Panti and Denys scored 22 from the judges.
Comedian and actor Kevin McGahern along with his partner Laura Nolan took centre stage next with their playful Quickstep. They danced to Lust for Life by Iggy Pop. Kevin and Laura scored 26 from the judges.
After another break, singer Damian McGinty and Kylee Vincent had fun performing a Charleston. They danced to No Swinggity by Minimatic. Damian and Kylee scored 29 from the judges.
The final pair to dance tonight were singer Brooke Scullion and Robert Rowiński who danced a Jive to Lizzo’s ‘Am I Ready?’ Brooke and Robert scored 27 from the judges.
