Eight-time world champion Stephanie Gilmore felt like she went from "hero to zero" after suffering a shock early exit at the hands of two American teenagers at Pipeline.
Gilmore was thrust into the elimination round after posting a two-wave total of just 2.8 in her opening heat in Hawaii.
