Steph Curry rightfully (and finally) secures 2022 NBA Finals MVP after Warriors best Celtics

Steph Curry finally has his NBA Finals MVP!

On Thursday, the Golden State Warriors bested the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the NBA Finals 103-90. While the Celtics held an early lead, the Warriors went on a 21-0 run to put the game completely out of hand in the second quarter, though Boston made it a bit tight late.

Headed into Game 6, Curry (+100) had the best odds of becoming the NBA Finals MVP, despite going 0-for-9 from distance in the previous game. Many were hoping this would finally be the year Curry would get his due as MVP and after going 12-21 in FG and 6-11 from three in the deciding game, the four-time NBA champion finally got the goods.

Not only that, Curry knew it way back in the third quarter after hitting a deep three and gesturing to his ring finger.

Here’s the incredible moment when Curry was crowned NBA Finals MVP!

What a moment and talk about well deserved for Curry!
