Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry narrowly defeated New York Liberty sharpshooter Sabrina Ionescu in Saturday night’s head-to-head three-point shootout.
Ionescu, who is the WNBA’s top three-point shooter, used a WNBA-sized basketball, but shot from behind the NBA arc, which is nearly two-feet further from the basket all the way around the floor.
She had the honors and scored an impressive 26 points, which would have made the finals of the NBA’s three-point contest earlier in the night, an event that was captured by Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard.
Curry loved Ionescu’s performance.

But once it was Curry’s time to shine, he once again proved why he is one of the best shooters to ever live.
Curry, who holds the NBA record for most three-pointers in a career, overcame a mediocre start to roll through the final two racks and record 29 points, prompting a skipping celebration to fire up the crowd.

At the end of the night, the real winners are the charities of choice for Ionescu and Curry. As part of the event, the NBA and WNBA will donate to Curry’s Eat. Learn. Play. foundation, as well as Ionescu’s SI20 charity.
