The Pittsburgh Steelers are limping into Week Five of the NFL season sitting at 2-2 and beaten and battered. They are home this week but there is no letup with the 3-1 Baltimore Ravens coming to town. If the Steelers can make it past this game, they will get a bye week to hopefully heal up and reset for the rest of the season.
Here are our big concerns for this week’s game.
Kenny Pickett's health
It sounds like quarterback Kenny Pickett is planning to play this week but we aren’t convinced this is a prudent move against an attacking Ravens defense, an injured knee and the season in jeopardy.
All the other injuries
If you put the Pickett injury at the top of the list, all the other banged-up starters are tied for second. The Steelers could end up with three rookies getting their first NFL starts this week thanks to injuries.
Those big changes
Head coach Mike Tomlin promised big changes this week and so far all we have seen is a practice in pads. What if there is no big change?
Playing with heart
Too many players have talked about a lack of effort for it to be ignored. Pittsburgh has let themselves get pushed around all season and this has to change.
Coaching with a purpose
Have the coaches taken to heart where this team has fallen short and plan to apply some changes to maximize the strengths of the player and mask their weaknesses?
