After an eventful bye week that saw multiple roster moves but sadly no coaching changes, the Pittsburgh Steelers get back to work against the Los Angeles Rams. We are perhaps unnecessarily optimistic this week but here are four bold predictions for the Steelers and they are all positive.
Najee Harris goes off
Running back Najee Harris seems like the one guy on offense who has taken this slow start personally and is focused on getting the run game back on track. In addition, Harris keeps hearing about how Jaylen Warren should be the starting back. Harris uses all this on the way to his biggest game of the season.
Steelers pass rush keeps Matt Stafford in check
I was going to predict a big game for EDGE T.J. Watt and we still think he will but we are predicting the Steelers pass rush goes off on Rams quarterback Matt Stafford after he cannot count on the run game.
Matt Canada does good things
This is the prediction that I am most worried about but I really feel like offensive coordinator Matt Canada used the bye week productively and will have his best game plan of the season.
Pittsburgh pulls off the upset
No one is giving the Steelers a shot against the Rams but we are banking on an upset win. The Rams are seriously short-handed at running back and that plays to the strength of the Steelers defense. The offense feeds off of the defense’s performance and outpaces the Rams, 21-17
