When the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants square off on Monday night, the Steelers should have their secondary at full strength. The team put out its game status report on Friday and there were no defensive backs listed.
This means both cornerback Donte Jackson and safety DeShon Elliott are healthy and ready to go. Jackson suffered a shoulder injury last week and was limited in practice this week. Same for safety DeShon Elliott who was working through a back injury.
They will join cornerback Joey Porter Jr. and safety Minkah Fitzpatrick in trying to slow down superstar rookie Malik Nabers and the Giants’ passing attack.
The Steelers will be once again without edge defender Nick Herbig and center Zach Frazier along with wide receiver Roman Wilson. Pittsburgh might get back running back Cordarrelle Patterson although he’s listed as doubtful.
