The Pittsburgh Steelers are planning to wear their 1970s throwback uniforms when they take on the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Eve. This week’s game will include a celebration honoring the 50th anniversary of the Immaculate Reception.
Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt talked about what it means to wear the jerseys and pay tribute to those great teams and the greatest play in NFL history.
“It means a lot we can wear the jerseys they wore and being a part of that tradition is awesome,” Watt said. “We take a lot of pride in being able to carry on that legacy and play for the Steelers.”
The Steelers teams of the 70s were a true dynasty winning four Super Bowl championships in six seasons.
