In the second half of the Pittsburgh Steelers 38-3 loss to the Buffalo Bills, starting tight end Pat Freiermuth left the game after a huge collision on a catch that resulted in a concussion.
This is particularly concerning for Freiermuth as concussions aren’t new for him. Freiermuth had two concussions in three weeks last season and has now had three in less than 12 months.
With the NFL’s emphasis on player safety and concussions, this injury will be one to watch. As much as everyone loves seeing Freiermuth on the field, there is nothing more important than his health, especially in the long term. We wish Freiermuth a speedy recovery.
This would be #PatFreiermuth 3rd concussion in only his 2nd year of the @NFL. pic.twitter.com/61cB7sQHS5
