According to Rich Walsh of KDKA, the Pittsburgh Steelers are releasing safety Kenny Robinson. The team, along with the rest of the NFL are working hard to get their roster down to 53 players from its 90-man training camp roster.
Robinson played well in preseason filling in for a variety of injured Steelers safeties. Keanu Neal, Damonte Kazee and Tre Norwood are all safeties who missed time and Robinson stepped up in their absence. Robinson is a great candidate to be re-signed to the Steelers practice squad once final cuts are finalized.
Steelers release Safety Kenny Robinson and 9 others today. Robinson is from Wilkinsburg and went to WVU @KDKA

The Steelers play the Tampa Buccaneers on August 10 in the regular-season opener. Pittsburgh is coming off of a 9-8 season, narrowly missing a spot in the playffs.
