On Tuesday, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced they had released running back Jason Huntley. With the new space on the roster, the Steelers signed a pair of running backs.
The Steelers have signed John Lovett and Greg Bell. Steelers fans should be well aware of Lovett as he played his college ball at Penn State. He was most recently with the Vegas Vipers of the XFL. Lovett came to Penn State after starting his career at Baylor.
In addition to the loss of Huntley, the Steelers signed Bell in order to replace running back Alfonzo Graham. He tore his labrum at training camp practice and is lost for the year. Bell played his college ball at San Diego State and entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2022 with the Detroit Lions.
As of now, the Steelers have a full roster of 90 players but this will change once the team officially puts Graham on IR.
