Steelers part ways with assistant quarterbacks coach

The rollover of the Pittsburgh Steelers offense continues this week. We already talked about the Steelers moving on from wide receivers coach Frisman Jackson and now, according to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson, the team has also parted ways with assistant quarterbacks coach David Corley.

Corley spent the last two seasons as the team’s assistant quarterbacks coach after working as the wide receivers coach at South Carolina. The team also lost offensive assistant Glenn Thomas who took the quarterbacks coach job at Nebraska.

Head coach Mike Tomlin and new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith have a minimum of four spots to fill this offseason with more coming. It seems like a foregone conclusion that quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan will take another job and if not won’t be retained.

The only remaining offensive coaches on staff are quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan, running backs coach Eddie Faulkner Jr., tight ends coach Alfredo Roberts, offensive line coach Pat Meyer and assistant offensive line coach Isaac Williams.
