The NFLPA put out report cards for all 32 NFL teams to grade each team’s facilities and amenities as it relates to the players and their families. This is intended to be a way to highlight the top teams and help struggling teams identify where they can improve based on the word of the guys on the team. It wasn’t a great showing for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
One area in particular where the Steelers fell behind was in facilities. Only 44 percent of the players felt confident in the team to invest in better facilities for the players. This prompted a Twitter conversation about how the Steelers facilities compare to the rest of the league.
The tweet below offered a nice glimpse of how Pittsburgh’s set up for the players compares to some of the other teams in the NFL.

The reputation of the Steelers has always been that blue-collar mentality, old-school football. And this was enough. But in the modern NFL, I’m not sure you can sell young free agents on coming to Pittsburgh when they can look at how other teams stack up in terms of creature comforts.
