The youngest, but arguably most important, positional battle of the Steelers’ Week 4 contest against the Colts will be none other than second-year Nick Herbig taking on third-year left tackle Bernard Raimann. Herbig will look to replicate his success from Week 3 as he faces a stout pass blocker in Raimann.
Indianapolis boasts one of the greatest offensive lines in 2024, and Raimann is a pivotal reason for their success. He has done a phenomenal job so far this season, allowing only one sack and four pressures through 87 passing plays.
Herbig will make his first career start against the Colts, and he certainly has his work cut out for him against the league’s best offensive line. Herbig has consistently been underrated since entering the league in 2023, and his impressive start to 2024 should change that: in just eight passing plays in Week 3, he recorded two sacks, two hurries, and a forced fumble.
The Steelers will need their young edge rusher to win the battle against Indianapolis’ equally youthful left tackle. This key matchup will take place when Pittsburgh goes on the road in Week 4, Sunday, Sept. 29, at 1 p.m. EST.
