Last year, the Pittsburgh Steelers struck gold when they traded up in the 2023 NFL draft to select former Georgia offensive tackle Broderick Jones. Jones took over the starting right tackle spot in the second half of the season and the offense line immediately became better.
The Draft Network put out a new one-round mock draft and they have the Steelers headed back to Georgia for another offensive tackle. They have the Steelers selecting Amarius Mims with the No. 20 overall pick.
There would certainly be some synergy of the Steelers selecting another Bulldog offensive tackle. Mims is a natural right tackle and is far better on that side. If the Steelers select Mims, it would mean a move to the left for Jones which puts him back at his natural position.
Between now and the draft, the debate between offensive line and cornerback for the Steelers in the first round will continue. Seeing guys like Ennis Rakestraw and Cooper DeJean on the board would be tempting and both are also viable options.
