Invitations have started to go out from the Pittsburgh Steelers to rookies for their upcoming minicamp. One very interesting player who will be at the rookie minicamp is former Clemson and Northwestern quarterback Hunter Johnson.
Johnson started his college career as a five-star prospect but after two stints at Clemson and another at Northwestern, Johnson was never able to secure a steady starting job.
In terms of physical tools, Johnson is great but he has never been able to translate those tools into production. The Steelers currently only have three quarterbacks on the roster after signing former Minnesota quarterback Tanner Morgan as an undrafted free agent so Johnson is likely to be more of a camp arm than anything else.
