According to NFL draft writer Justin Melo, the Pittsburgh Steelers are hosting North Carolina State guard Chandler Zavala in a pre-draft visit. YOu can keep track of all the players the Steelers have had in ahead of the 2023 NFL draft on our visit tracker.
Zavala is one of the most athletic offensive linemen in the entire draft based on the numbers. That athleticism shows up on film as well as he is a smooth mover with active feet.
Where does he fit with the Steelers? That’s hard to say. Pittsburgh has invested heavily in the position in free agency and appears to be set at guard. Zavala is a raw prospect and will need plenty of coaching in the NFL to deal with speed-to-power guys and will need to get much stronger. Zavala projects somewhere in the fourth or fifth-round range.
