On the Pittsburgh Steelers game status report for this week’s game, wide receiver George Pickens was ruled out for the Saturday showdown against the Baltimore Ravens. But according to NFL reporter Albert Breer, the team is hopeful that Pickens sitting this week means he will be ready to go on Christmas against the Kansas City Chiefs.
“He is running and he did make an effort to try and get the doctors to clear him,” Breer said. “Ultimately, didn’t happen. He won’t play, but they’re optimistic that he’ll be able to go on Christmas Day against the Chiefs.”

Not having Pickens in the lineup is a huge shot to the Steelers offense. The Steelers have a chance to wrap up the AFC North if they can beat the Ravens but with this injury, it’ll be a tall order on the road.
