Mother Nature showed up in Baltimore and decided to make things tough on the Pittsburgh Steelers but thanks to an amazing game by running back Najee Harris and some timely defense, Pittsburgh pulled off a massive road win 17-10 and kept hopes of a spot in the playoffs alive.
It wasn’t pretty football thanks to the steady, freezing cold rain but Pittsburgh didn’t let it slow them down. Quarterback Mason Rudolph threw for a modest 152 yards but given the conditions it was impressive. But the story was Harris who carried the ball 26 times for 112 yards and a rushing score early to set the tone.
The Steelers defense held the Ravens offense at bay all game long. Outside linebacker T.J. Watt got two sacks and punctuated his case for Defensive Player of the Year. The Steelers forced two fumbles, one of which by safety Eric Rowe who was once again activated from the practice squad straight to the starting lineup.
Now the Steelers have to wait and hope one of the three potential playoff scenarios play out and they can sneak in after winning their 10th game of the season.
