Steelers agree to terms with CB Joey Porter Jr.

According to Pittsburgh Steelers writer Mark Kaboly, rookie cornerback Joey Porter Jr. has agreed on a contract with the Steelers. Porter was the team’s first of two second-round picks in the 2023 NFL draft. The Steelers reporter to training camp on Wednesday.

The Steelers selected Porter with the first pick in the second round and are hoping he will be in the starting lineup early in the season. Porter is a legacy pick as he’s the son of Steelers legendary linebacker Joey Porter Sr.

This will be a contract to keep a close eye on as Porter was technically a second-round pick but was drafted No. 32 overall. This is typically a first-round pick, which muddied the waters on contract terms.
