On Tuesday it was reported by the Pittsburgh Steelers PR department that the Steelers had added assistant quarterbacks coach David Corley. Corley joins the Steelers coaching staff after multiple stints as a position coach in college football going all the way back to being the running backs coach at his alma mater of William & Mary in 2008.
Corley will join Steelers quarterbacks coach Mike Sullivan as the team ushers in a new era at the quarterback position.
Currently, the Steelers have two quarterbacks on the roster. Mason Rudolph has been with the team since being their third-round pick back in the 2018 NFL draft. Pittsburgh also added former first-round pick, Mitch Trubisky in free agency. Sullivan and Corley will be tasked with getting a new starting quarterback ready for the upcoming season and prepared to run offensive coordinator Matt Canada’s offense.
