The Super Bowl wrapped up the NFL season and now all attention turns to pending free agency and the 2024 NFL draft. We decided it was time to update our seven-round mock draft for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
First round - C Jackson Powers-Johnson, Oregon
After a strong week at the Senior Bowl, it feels like Jackson Powers-Johnson might not even last until the Steelers pick in the first round but if he does, he’s the ideal choice for the Steelers.
Second round - LB Edgerrin Cooper, Texas A&M
The Steelers have made their interest in the top inside linebacker in the draft clear. Cooper is rangy and fast with a high football IQ and great functional strength.
Third round - CB D.J. James, Auburn
D.J. James is s sticky, confident man corner with a ton of confidence. A perfect player to pair up with Joey Porter Jr.
Fourth round - WR Malik Washington, Virginia
Washington has been impressive this offseason and could be a great fit to replace Allen Robinson as the team’s slot receiver.
Fourth round - DT Evan Anderson, Florida Atlantic
Not a household name yet but the massive Anderson is a pure run stuffer who just eats up blockers.
Sixth round - QB Sam Hartman, Notre Dame
Excellent developmental quarterback with a strong arm and tons of athleticism.
Seventh round - S Josh Proctor
Pure downhill strong safety who craves contact.
