While Ohio State prepares for the College Football Playoff, there are several players with decisions to make pertaining to their future. The decision to leave school early for NFL riches or stay a Buckeye to hone their skills and maybe tend to unfinished business.
The most high-profile player to make that decision has been Jaxon Smith-Njigba. However, regardless of what some in the media are trying to sell, JSN is still recovering from a hamstring injury and really had no choice.
One of those players who would be draft-eligible has already made his decision. Steel Chambers who came to Ohio State as a running back prospect, moved over to the defensive side of the ball last season when the linebacker position was thin. Chambers has more than solidified himself in the role and shared that he will be back to get another year under his belt before trying his luck in the draft.
Ohio State linebacker Steele Chambers says he will be staying at Ohio State for his fifth-year senior season. He wants to get a third year of playing linebacker at the collegiate level under his belt.

Several players will have decisions to make at the end of the season. Tommy Eichenberg told reporters that he hasn’t even thought about the NFL yet as all of his focus has been on preparing for the playoffs.
Getting Chambers back will give the Buckeyes a two-year starter back at linebacker. What a pleasant surprise for Jim Knowles to know that kind of experience is coming back.
Ohio State is preparing to take on No. 1 Georgia in the CFP semifinal at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on December 31 in Atlanta, Georgia.
