The Stax Music Academy, located in Memphis, Tennessee, is a hub of musical talent where young musicians hone their skills to the tunes of iconic hits from Stax Records. Established in 2000, the academy serves as an after-school program for teens, offering instruction in singing, dancing, and playing instruments.
With a rich history rooted in the working-class neighborhood of Soulsville, the academy pays homage to Stax Records, a legendary record company that produced soul and R&B classics in the 1960s and 1970s. The academy's dedication to preserving this musical legacy is evident in its rigorous training programs and commitment to excellence.
