A STATUE of Nelson Mandela has been unveiled in Glasgow city centre, nearly 40 years after the city renamed a street in his honour.
In a fitting tribute to the revolutionary and former President of South Africa, the sculpture now stands on a plinth of South African granite on Nelson Mandela Place, formerly St George's Place.
