Statement issued as Florence and the Machine postpone Nottingham performance due to injury

Florence and the Machine have postponed its Dance Fever tour due to their singer suffering an injury. Florence Welch announced on Saturday, November 19, that she had broken her foot and has been told not to perform to prevent further damage reports Birmingham Live.

The Indie rock singer posted the news on her social media today, writing: "I’m sorry to say that after an X-ray I was dancing on a broken foot last night. It is not in my nature to postpone a show, and certainly not a U.K. tour, but I’m in pain and as dancers know, dancing on an injury is not a good idea.

"And [I] have been told not to perform to avoid further damage. Please hang on to your tickets." Florence was due to perform at the Nottingham Motorpoint Arena on Monday, November 28.
